The mission of the child advocacy center is to support child abuse investigations, provide access to critical services, and raise community awareness to prevent and reduce child abuse and neglect in southern missouri. the child advocacy center fulfills its mission by providing an interagency coordinated response to child abuse and child sexual assault for the multi-disciplinary team (mdt) in a manner that is child-focused and serves to reduce traumatization of children and their non-offending caregivers.
