United way of alamance county envisions a community that comes together to break down barriers, eliminate inequities, and end poverty. our mission is to radically decrease the number of families in poverty by advancing social equity practices that promote social mobility and provide opportunities that build a resilient community. we help the alamance community by mobilizing the right people and resources at the right time to navigate current challenges and build a better tomorrow. our organization is equipped to meet the most pressing needs of alamance county residents given our partnerships with local agencies that focus on co-creating community driven solutions. our programs, services, and funding are focused on increasing equitable access to basic needs such as housing, food, medical care, and opportunities for economic mobility. each year, united way of alamance county raises funds through sponsorships, corporate gifts, workplace campaigns and incoming grants in order to fund our c
