Evergreen youth & family services, inc. was established in 1977 and serves approximately 2500 children, teens and families each year.

The organization's mission is committed to strengthening youth, preserving families, and building relationships with an emphasis on those living in northern minnesota. the organization serves a region of the state that is highly remote, rural, and disadvantaged. the organization employes approximately 35 full and part-time staff that provide comprehensive services from two sites. all the organization's services are free to youth and families.
