Programs Description
ASSIST is here to help children, families, and adults after severe trauma and crimes by providing counseling, exams, and support for victims of crime for Johnson, Shelby, Bartholomew, Brown, and Morgan counties. Our services include: forensic interviews, forensic medical exams, group therapy, individual therapy, music therapy, trauma support for men, advocacy for adults, advocacy for kids and teens, and STI and STD prevention. We provide Adult prevention education through Darkness to Light's 'Stewards Of Children' and Human Trafficking 101. We provide child abuse prevention education through the Monique Burr Foundation curriculum for grades K-12.
Our Franklin office is home to our Sexual Assault Crisis Center and Child Advocacy Center and provides forensic medical exams, child forensic interviewers, Advocates, and more.
